Atlantic Crossing Eastward - Day 4: Uneventful and we like it

After yesterdays high drama today was all quiet. Our wind died around 10am and we reluctantly had to start the engine. With one engine on we are doing 5 knots, we are also heading east in anticipation of the winds returning with a more westerly flow. At 7.00 pm the winds picked up a bit allowing us to motor sail, this gives us a welcome knot or two. We expect we will be running like this overnight. Today we did our investigation into yesterdays failure. It turns out that the crimp on the sail that creates a loop to attach the halyard let the line slip out of it. A bad design. I'm hoping that we can get it fixed or replaced under warranty. We can continue without it if it will take too long to get fixed.
We continue to eat well and have not yet broken into Cheryl's prepared meals. We have tried puting out the fishing line but we are still in the Sargassum Sea so we can catch nothing but weeds. Hopefully, we will get better luck as we head north.
All is quiet out here we have not seen any other traffic all day. As of 8.00pm: Position N 25 90, W 63 40 on a heading of 40 degrees Magnetic. We have covered 462 nautical miles so far at an average speed of 6.2 knots, maximum speed 10.8 knots. The loss of our code zero has not helped our average speed.
