Azores to Lagos - Day 1: Where is the wind?

We have had no wind for our first 24 hours of this 6 day leg. This was forecast, but still hard to take. The only consolation is that the sun is shining and the sea is flat. But breaking news, within the last hour Diorbhail noticed that the wind had picked up to a howling 9 knots. So we hoisted the parasail (successfully on the first attempt) and are now flying along at 4.5 knots. But it is a much more pleasant 4.5 knots in silence.

Fishing news

Well there is none, but I am hoping with the complication of trying to land a fish under parasail, this will be the time for a big tuna to bite. Apparently this is the right time of year for Albacor, Yellow Fin and Big Eye to be around the Azores.
