WE had yet another 200+ nautical mile day yesterday. Bu the afternoon things were interesting with 35 knot winds and bigger seas. Fortunately as night fell so did the wind and swell. The winds forecast continues to look good and if it holds we should be staying on the great circle route all the way to the Azores. Estmated arrival is the evening of 23rd May.
Today we briefey flew the Genny, but as usual, the wind picked up to 28 knots as soon as we got it out, so in it comes.

Today we hooked our first fish. Unfortunately it was just a small tuna, so we set it free. The therory being "if there is one there is more", alas the more has not appeared yet. The ideal troling speed is 6 knots, we are doing 9, a little to fast. Later in the day as we look at the picture, having caught no more fish, we are thinking we shoud have kept it.
Crew is doing well, it has been a very very easy cruse so far, we have covered 1100 miles from Bermuda. The only boat work has been taking down the torn Code Zero Sail; Hoisting up the Gennaker, unfurling the Gennaker twice; Puting a reef in the main and shaking it out. Not a single tack or jibe. Otto has done al the steering.
We a are eating our way through Cherly's frozen meals. Chicken soup for lunch and chile for dinner.
