Today we took the "Summer Bus" into the town of Villasimius. It is only a 15minute drive, but the bus takes a circuitous route and there are speed bumps all the way (even on the highway). Like everything in Italy it is unnecessarily complicated! This is what is posted at the bus stop it is hard to follow the map as it shows both directions. After we got back I discovered that you can in fact search for stops in google maps. For example "Villasimius summer bus S" will find the stop at the marina that takes you to the town centre - leaves every hour at 5 minutes after the hour. "Villasimius summer bus I" will find the stop for the return journey, leaves every hour at 20 minutes after the hour.

The town of Villasimius is quite nice as it is nestled in the hills. It is not fancy but there are restaurants, some shops and larger grocery stores. Being the 4th of September things were already pretty quiet. We had lunch at Vip Toma Toma, sharing a really nice seafood salad and a Pizza. After that we wandered the streets, picked up some groceries and headed to the bus. A good day out.
